Christmas Inspiration - bright vintage

The Tree's Up by Yvestown
Radical Tree by Yvestown
Above two photos from Yvestown.

I love the freshness of these pics with the bright green and pink accents. I must get a pink bucket for my tree this year!

I am so in love with these pics. I love the old wooden sign, the pretty pattern used to line the cupboard and the adorable cake stands.

Christmas fabrics
Top row: Cath Kidston fabric.
Bottom row: Tilda fabric.

I love making things from the Tilda range of books by Tone Finnanger so have ordered some of the fabrics from her to make reindeer heads, as well as some from Cath Kidston to make stockings.

Department 56 does, in my opinion, some of the loveliest decorations around. I have a few from the gummy drop range a few years ago and would love to get a few more this year.

This Christmas I want to go for a bright 50's inspired Christmas in a palette of pastel pink, pale blue, lime, green and bright pink, with lots of polka dots and candy!

Have a sweet day!

"Cox & Cox embraces the philosophy that it is possible to create a home that is both beautiful and nurturing, taking inspiration from all over the globe.

Fiona Cox and Lizzie Thornton-Allan launched Cox & Cox Mailorder in 2001. They wanted to create a catalogue full of unusual and beautiful yet practical products which were not easily available from the homogenised marketplace."

Cox & Cox certainly have succeeded in doing just that, and have a wonderful collection of pieces for you and your home. There definitely seems to be a vintage twist to what they do and a lot is in neutral faded palettes with a weathered finish.

I am loving the picture frame in the first pic to store all my nik naks in and have been wanting a seed box for my Garden shed for such a long time!

Have a sweet day! x

"Hello neighbour...It's true - we've made our home right around the corner, up around the bend. Be sure to drop by whenever you're in need of a cupful of wonderful"

Well, Anthropologie did not disappoint! It was three floors of wonderful; from the eclectic use of material in the magpie chandeliers to the broken china skirt that took them a day to put together. They had furniture from Clark & Reilly, whose ethos encourages a movement away from disposable furniture - Old fashioned methods and materials make their items live longer than their purchaser!

There was a polar bear downstairs, marine animals hanging from the ceiling, big paper flowers, a plant wall, and large china sheep. There were the old Anthropologie favorites: latte bowls in an array of colours, pretty appliqued tea towels, frilled shower curtains, the prettiest of frill cashmere scarves, an adorable red felt hat and the hard back "classic story" books that had the nicest canvas covers.

My favorite item was the china tea and cakes plate candle holder, which has got me thinking of ideas for my dining table.

Check out my Flickr for more pics.
