Pretty Pick...Sequin Clutch

Leather clutch with sequins from Hos Intropia

I don't often talk about fashion here on Torie Jayne, something to do with me having done fashion all day long for the past fifteen years. But now that I have gone to being a freelance designer in all mediums of design, my day to day life does not always evolve around fashion. I kinda miss it! So I hope you don't mind if i indulge in a little fashion frivolity now and again? So...

When I saw this beautiful envelope flap designed distressed metallic leather clutch, embellished with metallic and acetate peach sequins, I instantly fell in love! This adorable sequin clutch is from one of my favourite womenswear brands Hoss Intropia, a Spanish brand that is well known for it's original, inspirational, feminine designs. Hoss Intropia is my go to place for something extra special for those extra special memorable events!

Gift Guide - She ❤'s Fashion...

Gift Guide - She ❤'s Fashion...

Holiday help is here once again! Today is a collection of gift ideas for the gal who loves fashion.

Bang on trend this Fall...

1. I am loving the rosy sepia tones of the on-trend python curse scarf in 100% wool, featuring two frayed trims and a hand painted print snake-like pattern. 2. For subtle, preppy glamour, wear this metal bow fabric hair clip over your ponytail. 3. On my wish list is this vintage looking corsage and stone beaded bando to add some daytime glamour to my hair!

4. 'P-Helio' taupe ballet flats. Flats? Tick! Patent? Tick! Cosmetic colour? Tick! These shoes tick all the boxes and would look great with skinny grey jeans. 5. For chilly days, the skin-tone flattering cream scarf adds bags of snuggle factor to a wintry day. Wear to add warmth and a textural edge to a sleek winter look. 6. Work some cute chic into your off-duty look with the addition of a chunky knitted beanie hat. With a cable design and broad, ribbed turn-up, topped with a fluffy pom pom it comes in a flattering shade of cream with pinkish undertones to highlight a rosy winter glow.

7. Essie nail polishes in glamour purse, lady like, and power clutch are all from the Fall 2011 collection and update the nude tones of last year. 8. The diamante feather clip in tonal colours with delicate feathers and eye catching faceted beads will add some vintage glamour! 9. Top of my wish list is the 'And Mary' cutout swallow leather purse, made from super soft, Italian leather with a cut out swallow design in gold. Beautiful almond colour and birds: a match made in heaven!! 10. A practical, chic and glamourous metallic shopper is perfect for shopping trips.

11. So you don't miss important dates with the girls for cocktails and cupcakes, get the Swatch soft carnation watch . 12. This tough but pretty real leather honeycomb metal cuff is overlaid with a chunky gold honeycomb bracelet. Wear with girly dresses to toughen up your outfit! 13. The plated chain Maya necklace with glass drop details from All Saints would look great with a white tee and jeans for some girly rock chic! 14. Keep your travelcard in style with these metallic oyster card holder. You could use them for credit cards or business cards, too...

Happy shopping!

All Saints

All Saints

Dresses by All Saints
This week for my 'shops i love' page I bring you one of my favorite English clothing brands, All Saints, for a bit of rock'n'roll chic!

All Saints was established in 1994 as a wholesale menswear brand and is known for its edgy forward thinking fashion. The name refers in part to 60’s TV icon Simon Templar - aka The Saint - and in part to All Saints Road in Notting Hill - notorious for its artistic and musical associations, especially its links with the Clash.

In 1997 they launched their womenswear range and have been going strong ever since with their first shop opening in Carnaby Street, England, on All Saint's day in 1997. They now have stores in LA, NY, Miami, Copenhagen, Berlin and Paris to name a few. Noone does the rock chic look better and their leather jackets are worn by Drew Barrymore, Cheryl Cole and Kristen Stewart, amongst others.

On my wish list this Fall is the gorgeously crushed leather brocade detailed leather jacket, cream fair isle scarf with large pom poms, heavily metal-sequined skirt, 1920's style beaded shawl, knee high riding buckle detail boots and the deconstructed cable cardigan with the signature asymmetrical detail.

Summer crab belt by Devon Baer Designs

I would like to introduce you to one of my new sweet sponsors, Devon Baer Designs. The Manhattan based Designer brings her love for fashion and interiors to a new accessory line that bears her name.

I am loving her luxe bee necklace for a real statement piece slipped on with a simple white vest, cloudy wash skinny jeans and gold gladiators. Also, her pretty feminine Pearl prepster necklace. For some preppy, whimsical charm I am coveting her cute rhinestone-encrusted Summer crab belt.

Check out her store for more whimsical handcrafted belts and jewelry that reflect her personal style of urban sophistication and classic elegance inspired by antiques and the lovely world of interior design.

"Hello neighbour...It's true - we've made our home right around the corner, up around the bend. Be sure to drop by whenever you're in need of a cupful of wonderful"

Well, Anthropologie did not disappoint! It was three floors of wonderful; from the eclectic use of material in the magpie chandeliers to the broken china skirt that took them a day to put together. They had furniture from Clark & Reilly, whose ethos encourages a movement away from disposable furniture - Old fashioned methods and materials make their items live longer than their purchaser!

There was a polar bear downstairs, marine animals hanging from the ceiling, big paper flowers, a plant wall, and large china sheep. There were the old Anthropologie favorites: latte bowls in an array of colours, pretty appliqued tea towels, frilled shower curtains, the prettiest of frill cashmere scarves, an adorable red felt hat and the hard back "classic story" books that had the nicest canvas covers.

My favorite item was the china tea and cakes plate candle holder, which has got me thinking of ideas for my dining table.

Anthropologie coming to UK

Statement jacket at Anthropologie

Anthropologie is one of my favourite stores in the US for clothing and interiors. Whenever I visit the States it is my first stop. I can't leave the store without buying a little trinket, another latte bowl in ice cream colours, gorgeous smelling candles in yummy scents like angel cake, or a book on Magnolia's cupcakes. Imagine my joy when I found that they are coming to the UK.

They have chosen Regent Street in London as the location for their UK flagship store, to open by the end of the year. A second store will open on the King’s Road in Fulham next year; one of my favorite shopping addresses.

Anthropologie is the big sister company to Urban Outfitters. Their target audience is women in their 30's and above, with a mixture of eclectic own labels, a sprinkling of bought-in brands, as well as homewares, furniture and gifts. Brands include 7 For All Mankind, J Brand, Level 99 and Levi’s.

I recently got my new copy of Red Direct come floating through my letter box. They do some lovely interior and fashion pieces that are a 'a bit different' to the High Street. I've got a thing for old wooden crates at the moment so am loving their basket version, which would be great for storing herbs in. I am also loving bunting and want to hang some on my garden shed.

From the website:
"Started in 1999, we launched Red Direct following numerous requests from Red magazine readers who were desperately looking for that ‘hard-to-find’ boutique style buy for themselves, their homes, their children, their friends and family."

How cute is the first shot?! I adore the vintage feel of these shots from the Toast Summer catalog.

Toast is a British company that sources exquisitely stylish clothing, crisp bed linen and beautiful accessories. They work with artisan producers that live up to Toast's environmentally friendly policies.

I am also loving the 1920's style finger waves hair like the new Autumn Noa Noa photo shoot.

Salt Water sale

Laura's Design Inspiration
Laura's Design Inspiration
This little mood board inspired the high summer story of delicate silks, etched dragonflies, and gilded details.

Saltwater is a British clothing design label based in London and Cornwall.
They make women's clothing with a fresh, soft, vintage feel. Think pretty vintage printed skirts, hand embroidered dresses, faded print tunics and fine knits. I am loving their blue and white China bird skirt in the last pic, which has over 50% off in the sale!
