Green Gate have launched their new Autumn/Winter collection 'Winter Secrets'. I am loving the periwinkle blue colour in their kitchen textile collection and as I write this I am snuggled up under last year's Chloe Naomi beige quilt!

"Hello neighbour...It's true - we've made our home right around the corner, up around the bend. Be sure to drop by whenever you're in need of a cupful of wonderful"

Well, Anthropologie did not disappoint! It was three floors of wonderful; from the eclectic use of material in the magpie chandeliers to the broken china skirt that took them a day to put together. They had furniture from Clark & Reilly, whose ethos encourages a movement away from disposable furniture - Old fashioned methods and materials make their items live longer than their purchaser!

There was a polar bear downstairs, marine animals hanging from the ceiling, big paper flowers, a plant wall, and large china sheep. There were the old Anthropologie favorites: latte bowls in an array of colours, pretty appliqued tea towels, frilled shower curtains, the prettiest of frill cashmere scarves, an adorable red felt hat and the hard back "classic story" books that had the nicest canvas covers.

My favorite item was the china tea and cakes plate candle holder, which has got me thinking of ideas for my dining table.

Check out my Flickr for more pics.

Final days to Halloween!

Halloween cocktail
A spooky brew of cranberry & raspberry juice, with black vodka. Pour the vodka over the back of a spoon so it sits on top!

Tomorrow I have a busy day ahead of me. I need to finish my bird tree, finish my Halloween art and bake some fresh cupcakes to decorate my Halloween table. All in time for the skeletons and vampires who will be visiting us come the witching hour!
