Rice DK Autumn/Winter 2011

This week for my 'shops i love' page I bring you fun, funky fabulous Danish brand, Rice DK, a brand that often appears here on Torie Jayne.

With all the new Autumn/Winter catalogues coming out now I thought I would first feature Rice DK. As always their collection is full of bright, happy colours like the bright pink and blue ostrich table lamps, kitchen hooks and candle holders. Following on the bird theme there are flamingo shaped hooks in a rainbow of colours and one arm ostrich and peacock candelabras. Cutlery in zesty lime, bubblegum pink and fresh mint to brighten up meal times. My favourite has to be their acrylic picture frames in a mixture of sizes and colours like mint, hot pink and lime green.

Rice DK @ Top Drawer

I have featured Rice DK many times here on Torie Jayne so I was delighted to visit their stand at Top Drawer. They were showing their new The Peace, Kiss and Glamourama Spring/Summer Collection. It was full of bright poppy colours, fun florals, toadstools, gnomes and peacocks. I also saw intricate, brightly coloured bird candle holders, kitchen towel holders and hooks. I loved the quirky crochet flowered cushions and funky jewel coloured melamine accessories for the kitchen.

Rice Autumn/Winter 2010

This week for my 'shops i love' page I bring you the delightful Danish brand, Rice DK.

As always their new collection is full of bright colours and whimsical details, like the hand-crocheted bird atop the tea cosy. The new collection is aptly called "cool and cozy" with the prints are centred around a mix of berries, flowers and peacocks in hues of jade, peacock green, blue, yellow and raspberry. There's lots of plush velvet and toadstools popping up everywhere!

A trip to Copenhagen wouldn't be complete without visiting one of the many retailers that stocks Rice DK. I just love the playfulness of all their collections and am hoping to get some of the adorable kitchen items.

Rice DK Autumn/Winter 2009

The Rice DK Autumn/Winter 2009 catalogue is now up on their website and is full of beautiful images like those above. Danish designer house Rice DK "specializes in fair trade homewares with a great strong design and social ethic. Rice is fair trade certified to SA8000 and works closely with the communities that produce and manufacture its products."

I just love the fabric picture frames on the pink fridge and I so want to get their pale pink rolling pin in the last pic to match my kitchen baking utensils.
