With Valentine's day just around the corner I bring you a selection of heart shaped baking goodies! Why not make some of your favourite cupcakes in heart shaped cases or for a really wow piece try your hand at a heart filled cake! I am going to have a go at some hand made heart chocolates using a heart shaped silicone ice cube tray.

It's not often that I come across a boutique that has so many wonderful treasures but live like this is a little slice of heaven: From the pretty pastel blue of the exterior to the exquisite merchandise inside, all wonderfully displayed, to the friendly staff!

They stock Anna Lou's jewelery in a dark, wintry palette of black, plum and teals. They have a pretty selection of silicone bakeware, the cutest of cupcake wrappers and delightful rolls of oilcloth fabric. There is a selection of items from Cath Kidston, Rice and Orla Kiely. There is also a baby & kids section full of great gift ideas. I could have spent hours in there!

Vintage lunchboxes

My cardboard mini suitcases are based on vintage lunch boxes, like the one above, which got me thinking that it would be great to find some old lunch boxes to keep bits and bobs in.



The one above is a beautiful Corsage Metal Lunchbox dated 1973, made by King-Seeley Thermos Company and sold at Ruby Lane.com.

Star cases

These Shooting Star Kids Suitcases are from Cath Kidston. The good news is that they are currently on sale. They are so handy for keeping bits and bobs in. Mine are filled with bags of sequins and beads.


I think they would look great stacked with this Mini Suitcase Set from Great Little Trading Company.
