Today I'm delighted to announce a giveaway of a set of 'For the girl' mugs inspired by some delightfully faded seaside bunting from Cornishware, worth £50 and it's open to readers worldwide!
Cornish Kitchen Ware was first produced in 1926 by T.G.Green & Co in a county famed for its pottery, Derbyshire. This Great British design classic, with the special characteristic of clean white bands through its beautiful blue slip, was apparently named Cornishware after it reminded one employee of the clear blues and white-tipped waves of Cornwall. In the 1960s, Cornishware was updated by a young designer called Judith Onions but in 1997 sadly the company closed. Lifelong admirers Charles Rickards and Paul Burston, teamed up with designer and branding consultant Perry Haydn Taylor, whose wife Vik is an avid Cornishware collector, and they have resurrected the company famed for its classic blue and white hoops.
For a chance to win these pretty girly mugs in buttercup yellow, summer rose, Turkish blue and Parma violet, please visit Cornishware by T.G.Green and leave a comment below letting me know which other Cornishware piece you love the most. The giveaway ends on Wednesday, May 16th 2012 at 10pm (BST) and I will randomly select and announce a winner on Thursday, May 17th.
