Washing machine stickers
I loved the washing machine on House to Home that had been given a feminine touch with colourful flower stickers, so I decided to make my own using vinyl sticky back plastic and my favourite butterfly punch. Now even my washing machine is cute!
Washing machine stickers
Tools and materials
- Self-adhesive film in blue/white polka dot
- Butterfly punch
Washing machine stickers, How-to step by step
Simply punch a butterfly out of the polka dot film, peel off backing and stick to washing machine.
They have been stuck on my washing machine for over a month now and they still look as good as new, I will let you know if they start to peel off or look tatty.

Tiger
Today on shops i love I bring you Tiger. I first discovered Tiger on a shopping trip to Copenhagen where I bought a whole bunch of inexpensive nik naks.
Tiger was started in 1995 in Copenhagen and now they have stores in Iceland, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia and England. Their mission is to provide their customers with stylish products in a pleasant environment, at astonishingly low prices. Everything in their stores is priced in whole pounds with nothing exceeding £20!
They currently have 13 locations in England with many more on the horizon. Last week I popped in to Tiger and bought some brightly coloured doilies that look great with my brightly patterned cupcakes. I think it's time I made some more tropical cupcakes...
Decorated with Skittles' new crazy cores... blue raspberry & lemon, strawberry & watermelon, cherry lemonade and mango & peach!
Have a sweet day!

Gluten-free red velvet cupcakes
I am so excited to tell you that the lovely peeps at Dr Oetker offered to send me some items from their home baking range so I chose a load of items I really wanted to try. First up are two sets of polka dots, one in blue and white and the other in mixed colours. I picked out the red ones from the mixed colours and sprinkled them on to my gluten-free red velvet cupcakes with a cream cheese frosting. Yesterday I took my Diamond Jubilee themed red/blue and white cupcakes to my sister's Diamond Jubilee street party!
Gluten-free red velvet cupcakes (makes 20 cupcake size cakes)
Ingredients
- 245g (1 3/4 cup) gluten-free flour
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 stick (6 tablespoons) unsalted butter

- Stir in the milk, and mix well to combine. Add red food coloring a drop at a time until the desired color is reached. Ensure mixture is well combined and the colour is even
- Divide batter between the cases
- Bake for about 25 mins until cakes bounce back when lightly pressed
- Place on rack to cool
To decorate (for 24 cupcake sized cakes) Ingredients
